Updates // First samples

We’ve been mulling over the idea of mixing warp/weft tones to develop a new line of table linens. These are among the first sample swatches. Still working out the details and probably need another few runs at it before we get it right. In the meantime, we’d love to hear your thoughts - which color combination do you like better? If not here, which combination of colors would you most like to see? Nothing like conducting market research with the people who matter most to us :)

    Great idea.
It has a nice deep feeling, like a painting.

The blue and green has a nice feel of the juicy green spring and summer next to a fresh clear blue lake.

Some creme caramel with cherries on a clear white plate would look even more yummy on the rose/blue linen!

i like the blue/red very much, but the blue/green looks a little muddy. maybe a pink/brown would be pretty?

  3. Anna Says:

Hi Amy//Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Great call on the pink/brown - kind of a chocolate box palette - definitely one to consider. Agree with you on the blue/green, although I don’t feel like the photo on the blog here has done it justice - it’s a bit fresher looking in real life. Great thoughts…keep’em coming!//Anna

I use a lot of neutrals and like the idea of the fresh spring yellow/green coming through under my white porcelain plates.

  5. Laura Says:

I like the blue/green better, esp if it looks even “fresher” in real life as you said. It is hard to capture true hues on a blog photo.
I’m not sure if this would sound awful to you, but I really think a deep, vibrant red (or a burgundy or cranberry color) paired with a deep sunset orange would look amazing. I may be way off base here for what you are trying to do….just wanted to throw that out there, since I always think those colors (when the right tones are chosen) surprisingly look great together.

Hi Sara//That’s just what we had in mind too! We’ll keep you all posted as we continue to develop the idea and - of course - when we have the linens ready for sale. Thanks so much for sharing.//Anna

Hello Laura//The closer tonal matches - like the beautiful harmonics between, as you say, the “right” shades of orange and red - are actually the samples we are waiting to get but haven’t seen yet. I am pretty sure we did an orange/red version but if not I’ll bring it up at our next design powow. Especially for the autumn/winter season, it would look great! Jeez - if color isn’t your job, it probably should be:) Thanks for your thoughts - you all are the ones we’re in business for - so it’s great to hear from you//Anna
